A 3D Tutorial with David Kuntz AND Community Show & Tell

Join us Sunday, August 23rd at our new earlier time: 1:00 EDT / 17:00 GMT. We have 2 great segments planned:

  • Tutorial: Breaking Down the Stereo Window, by David Kuntz (20 min)

This tutorial will explain the basic concepts of the “stereo window,” and reveal how to control it using StereoPhoto Maker (a free Windows program for manipulating 3D images). The use of StereoPhoto Maker for performing some other basic image manipulation tasks, like image cropping, will also be reviewed. Attendees will learn how to optimally format their images for platforms ranging from Instagram through large screen projection.
  • Social: Community Show & Tell (45 min)

For our social segment, we’ll be allowing attendees 2-3 minutes to introduce themselves and share either ONE item from their 3D collection or ONE favorite photo they’ve taken in 3D. If you’ll be sharing one of your photos, be sure to have it open and ready to share on your screen (don’t worry, we’ll explain how to share your screen). This will be a fun way to get to know each other and discover new things!

In addition to those activities, we’ll also share some exciting new updates and opportunities for our global, online 3D community.

In addition to researching, organizing, studying, photographing, comparing, and appreciating the design, longevity, and applied uses of mid-century stereo viewers, I spend time photographing cloud formations and being a Googler.
